Project design by TEK Building and Design with the following brief:
"Our clients brief was to custom design a family home to accommodate their already large and growing family. The block is situated right on the apex of a bend in the road and slopes from left to right so the challenge was to design utlising the lay of the land so as to avoid retaining as much as possible. The clients had one simple request that was non-negotiable, to maximise the view of the parklands across the road. Our design includes a rotated northern frontage whereby the master bedroom has direct views of the parklands and beautiful western red cedar oversized windows that also capture the views and maximum northern sunlight. the delineate the living zones, the design incorporates a sunken formal living area with feature 3-sided fireplace. The kitchen/meals area opens out onto a large outdoor entertaining area and pool which also has its own open fireplace. The master bedroom wing again is sunken and incorporates large WIR and ensuite with collapsible wall and immaculate views of the pool. Upstairs is a true 'Kids Zone' with 4 bedrooms, bathroom and a large open plan retreat area. This project was a delight to design and construct and our clients are very happy with the end result"
